Consulting and Collaborative Services
supporting textile traditions through research, revitalization, and education

Documentation & Archiving
Preserve endangered knowledge before it disappears. We'll conduct collaborative, in-depth qualitative research to document textile traditions—from fiber preparation and dyeing to weaving patterns and cultural narratives. Using interviews, participant observation, and archival study, we'll develop robust records in print, digital, or multimedia formats. These archives serve as living resources for artisans, cultural groups, educators, and cultural institutions, bridging academic rigor with community accessibility.
Revitalization & Strategy
Bring dormant traditions back to life. We'll work collaboratively with communities, collectives, and organizations to design and implement revitalization strategies for endangered or historic textile practices. Services can include grant writing, partnership development, sustainable material sourcing strategies, and capacity-building support. Our approach centers Indigenous and/or local voices while creating actionable plans that preserve heritage and sustain livelihoods.

Educational Program & Curriculum Development
Transform textile knowledge into meaningful learning experiences. We'll design educational materials, curriculum, or programs for museums, schools, nonprofits that merge hands-on skills with cultural and ecological context. Using my Textile Literacy Framework, we'll ensure a holistic approach—covering material, cultural, ecological, and temporal perspectives. Programs are adaptable for all ages and audiences, from short workshops to full curricula.

Public Engagement & Storytelling
Share textile histories with the audiences they deserve. We'll work together to help artisans, organizations, and institutions tell the story of textiles through exhibitions, publications, podcasts, and digital content. Our storytelling approach emphasizes authenticity, cultural respect, and accessibility—ensuring the voices of makers, communities, and materials are honored.
Research Project Management
Make decisions grounded in deep understanding. We'll develop research goals and strategies that connect textiles to social, ecological, and economic systems—ideal for brands seeking sustainability insights, museums developing exhibitions, or nonprofits measuring impact. My work blends ethnographic methods, fieldwork, and interdisciplinary insights. Findings are translated into compelling narratives, reports, fliers, and actionable recommendations.
